Mountain shaped compact slate wine rack with capacity for 11 bottles of fine wine. Hand picked from the waste piles at a quarry in North Wales, near Snowdon.
The base is sawn and the holes carefully core drilled out in a straight uniform fashion. Holes are approximately 90mm in diameter.
A quality, clean and consisitent 4 hole flakey slate wine rack. A solid chunky base makes this nice and sturdy standing at approximately 560mm high.
The face has been split resulting in a very distinctive finish on the slate. Looks flakey as opposed to the normal layered finish which certainly make this rack unique. The base has then been sawn and core drilled using diamond tipped drill bits.
This welsh gold wine rack makes a stunning interior feature, containing not one but two bands of iron pyrite in a streaky fashion across the top of the wine rack.
The top of this rack thins out and thus not suitable for coring but I retained it as the colours in this look amazing. For proper Welsh Gold check out Clogau for a great range of Welsh jewellery.

Horizontal wine rack holder core drilled in a staggered, linear fashion. This rack is as rugged as they get. Looks really rustic and full of character.
Mainly grey in colour with some decent splashes of ‘fools gold’ iron pyrite. Stunning wavey, grainy edge where you can see all the compacted layers. Nice big, chunky, thick rack.
Bespoke Wine Holder in one of my most popular designs, with a thin, narrow base but very tall in height. Nice unusual pointy kick out on the right hand side which adds character.
Mainly grey in colour with some decent splashes of ‘fools gold’ iron pyrite. Very neat compact, slim rack.
