Slate Book Ends SBE11 cut and carved from a single piece of Welsh Slate. Sawn base and sawn in two to create matching pieces. The sawn edges are polished to remove the saw marks and as a result darkens the colour of the slate sightly. These can also be engraved either on the facing edge or the sawn edges at additional cost.
This example shown here is using slate from North Wales. This slate is really tough and more rugged looking. Full of plum tones and a stunning green streak running across the face and also visible on the cut face. This piece is really quite rare.
Each piece of slate is different and will contain its own unique characteristics.
I can produce large quantities of these and turnaround time is normally a couple of weeks.
