This was drilled in the quarry rock face for blasting purposes for extracting from the quarry. This was many many years ago, as now all of the slate is receycled from the slate tips and cut and split down to size. A great example of world famous Welsh Slate with heaps of history.

Sourced from the quarries at the heart of slate country in North Wales, UK. The cores, once removed are split down and used as coasters, felted, cleaned and oil’d and are available in packs of 4 on the website here.
