Slate Book Ends cut and carved from a single piece of Welsh Slate. The cut edges are polished with two varying grits to firstly remove the saw marks and then polish up to a nice smooth finish.

Slate Book Ends SBE2 cut and carved from a single piece of Welsh Slate. Sawn base and sawn in two to create matching pieces. The sawn edges are polished to remove the saw marks and as a result darkens the colour of the slate sightly. These can also be engraved either on the facing edge or the sawn edges at additional cost.
This example shown here is using slate from Pembrokeshire, West Wales. This slate is softer but more rugged looking. This is a blue slate colour with some rich vein bronze markings on it.
Each piece of slate is different and will contain its own unique characteristics.
I can produce large quantities of these and turnaround time is normally a couple of weeks.
