Awards for Vineyards of Hampshire

The annual Decanter World Wine Awards recently completed its 18th year of running this competition where Vineyards from around the globe submit their latest offerings to be tasted by a top panel of judges from the wine world.

Danebury vineyard located near Stockbridge picked up a Bronze award for their Madeleine Angevine 2019

The Grange located near Arlesford picked up two silver awards for their Grange Classic NV which has already sold out and the Grange Classic Pink NV which has also sold out ! Alternatives are available but these award winning wines quickly get snapped up by wine lovers and conoisseurs.

Hambledon Vineyard located in the quaint village of Hambledon, famous for Cricket (but that’s another story) picked up two golds for the Classic Cuvee and also the Premier Cuvee. Exciting times are ahead for this vineyard as they’re nearing completion on a stunning new wine store and tasting room, which we can’t wait to visit.

Raimes Vineyard located near Arlesford collected a Silver for their Chardonnay Cuvee Blancs de Blancs 2016 aswell as the Sparkling 2015 Vintage Classic.

The Terroir of all of these award winning Vineyards is very similar due to their close proximity, but all depend on the chalky white soil of the South Downs region. This light white and creamy colour tone lends itself to our range of Wine Racks crafted from Portland Stone, sourced by hand direct from the mine located in a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Events held by the collective Vineyards of Hampshire have been cancelled this year and a new date for 2022 has been set. Vineyards of Hampshire Fairy Lights & Fizz on December 16th and tickets can be purchased here .
