Rustic Slate Wine Rack with capacity for 6 bottles of fine wine.
Hand picked from the waste piles at a slate quarry in North Wales close to Snowdon. North Wales is a mecca for walkers, hikers and adrenaline junkies.
For a great way to see the quarry check out Zip World and fly over head.
The slate base has been sawn for stability and then core drilled. The cores have been retained and used as coasters.
Holes are approximately 90mm in diameter.
This is the perfect size for storing both a standard size wine bottle and a slightly larger sparkling wine bottle.
A very popular design with holes drilled consistently in a vertical fashion.
Just overlapping the top hole on this rustic slate wine rack is a splash of rustic bronze colour. This contrasts beautifully against the predominantly grey colour.
There is space on the side of this rack to add some engraving. Names or dates for a special occasion, wedding or anniversary.
See 5swr37 for a recent example of this.
This is an additional extra and carries a 2 week lead time. At busy times this will take longer.
If you like this style but it’s too big, then 4swr94 is a similar style but slightly smaller.

Slate is a great material that maintains a constant temperature and it will chill your wine nicely. It will not expand and contract like other materials.
Please do remember that each piece of slate is different. I cannot guarantee the exact replication of any designs and I would not wish to.
Finally, if you can’t decide which rack to purchase then I would recommend a trip down to the workshop where I have over 100 racks in stock.
